About the Opportunity

We are partnering with a well-established, globally recognised industrial supply business to find an experienced Business Development Manager for the Darwin region. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company with a strong market presence across the electrical and industrial sectors.

In this role you will take ownership of both account management and new business development, working across a defined geographic territory to grow revenue and profitability. You will have the backing of a wide product portfolio and the support of a collaborative leadership team, reporting directly to the Area Sales Director.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Drive sales and profitability targets in line with the company’s broader strategic objectives.
  • Represent the business professionally in the marketing and selling of nominated products, brands and services to new and existing customers within the Darwin region.
  • Identify, qualify and develop project sales opportunities from early concept through to completion, maximising the potential of the company’s brands, products and services.
  • Develop and implement short and long-term sales strategies, identifying new products, solutions and supplier opportunities for clients.
  • Travel within the designated geographic territory to build and maintain key relationships.
  • Submit activity reports, sales plans and business proposals and assist in the generation of forecasts, budgets and business objectives in collaboration with the Area Sales Director.
  • Deliver professional presentations using both existing and newly developed bespoke materials.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in a business development or sales role within the electrical, industrial or related technical sectors.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and grow a portfolio of clients while winning new business.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills — confident engaging at all levels from site to senior management.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently across a regional territory.
  • Experience with sales pipeline management and reporting.
