ALL Aspects Recruitment & HR Services are currently recruiting for a Power Engineering Connection Processing Officer for a client that provides water and wastewater services to urban and remote customers across the Northern Territory.
The Power Engineering Connection Processing Officer will ensure the efficient processing of Negotiated Connection Applications in compliance with the Norther Territory National Electricity Rules (NT NER) and provide first-line support for technical customer queries.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain an organised workflow for processing Negotiated Connection Applications within the negotiated connection process.
- Ensure timely processing of negotiated connection applications within the NT NER timeframes.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining model standing offer negotiated connection contract templates compliant with the NT NER.
- Support the team in managing the capital contribution scheme in compliance with the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) approved Connection Policy.
- Initiate invoicing to customers and follow up on progress of PO creation, invoice payments and customer authorisations for Negotiated Embedded Generation Connection workflows.
- Provide monthly Power Action reporting to Retailers for automated reimbursement to customers.
- Summarise Power Partnership Program uptakes and Negotiated EG Connections monthly to internal Management.
- Provide first-line support for technical customer queries from the Customer, Strategy and Regulation group related to Negotiated Connections.
- Assist in managing engagement with customers and external industry stakeholders in connection-related matters.
- Assist in managing Regulatory Information Notices (RIN) and Embedded Generation (EG) connection reports as requested by the client.
- Assist in coordinating the updating of connection-related policies, specifications, and Promapp processes.
- Ensure the recording of expenses for each negotiated connection application against work orders in Maximo and assist in managing cost recovery for Negotiated Connections by client to customers through the management of connection offers and invoicing.
Selection Criteria
- Qualification in Business administration, office management or a related field.
- Strong organisational skills to manage workflows and documentation effectively.
- Proficiency in office software such as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication skills for providing first-line support to customers regarding queries.
- Strong attention to detail for processing applications accurately and efficiently and the capability to assist in connection reporting and documentation.
- Ability to manage expense recording and cost recovery tasks related to connection applications.
- Strong ability to work within a team setting and support team initiatives and contribute possibility to workplace culture.
- Previous experience in similar process driven roles within the utility sector or similar heavy industry.
- Proven ability to engage with internal and external teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in an Asset Management System such as Maximo.
- Understanding of the NT NER and familiarity with connection process and compliance requirements.
