Our client is a key provider of electricity, water, and sewerage services across the Northern Territory. With a strong commitment to delivering quality services, they are looking for a dedicated Meter Data Provision Officer to join their team.
Position Overview:
We are currently recruiting for a Meter Data Provision Officer to work under labour hire arrangements for our Government Client. This role plays a key part in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of data for electricity and water retailers. As part of a small, multi-skilled team, the Meter Data Provision Officer will be responsible for carrying out cyclic and special meter reads, performing quality checks, and ensuring high standards of client service and data integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for scheduling meter reading for NT Region, including disconnection and reconnection of customers. Ensure meter details and data is accurately updated and maintained on computer systems. Ensure deadlines are met for the provision of meter data and reporting to stakeholders.
- Maintain and promote a high standard of quality customer service including timely response to all service requests and support for other team members and contract field staff.
- Report any suspected meter tampering, hazardous installations, access problems or meters which are not being billed, and enter read and meter data to meet strict deadlines.
- Participate with the review, development and implementation of Metering services procedures and policies to ensure the goals and objectives of the organisation are achieved.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to set priorities, plan and organise own work load, investigate and solve problems and complete tasks with minimum supervision and excellent attention to detail
- Previous experience in a similar role within utilities or a related field is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with complex data.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively within a small, multi-skilled team.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks.
- High level of computer literacy and familiarity with relevant software.
