On behalf of our client, ALL Aspects Recruitment are hiring for a People & Culture Lead position in Yarrawonga, NT.
This role will be offered on a part time temp capacity - Thursdays & Fridays at an hourly rate of $69.65 per hour.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
The People and Culture Lead plays a pivotal role in fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture. Working closely with the leadership team, this role leads the development and implementation of people strategies that align with organisational goals and values.
Key responsibilities include attracting and onboarding talent, supporting employee growth through tailored learning and development initiatives, and ensuring contemporary and compliant employment practices. The role also champions performance and wellbeing frameworks, supports leaders in managing employee relations, and drives proactive workplace safety and wellbeing programs. This position leads continuous improvement initiatives across all people and culture functions, with a strong focus on enhancing employee experience, engagement, and organisational effectiveness.
In addition to leading the People and Culture function, the role also serves as Company Secretary, supporting the Board and executive leadership in maintaining strong governance practices. This includes ensuring compliance with statutory obligations under the CATSI Act, managing corporate records, and facilitating effective Board and AGM processes.
SELECTION CRITERIA
- Relevant qualifications and experience in human resources, with a strong understanding of employment legislation, including the Fair Work Act and industry awards.
- Demonstrated experience working respectfully with Aboriginal people, including strong cultural awareness and the ability to engage in accordance with cultural protocols.
- Proven leadership in people and culture functions, including mentoring staff, driving strategic initiatives, and collaborating effectively with senior leadership.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence outcomes, and communicate clearly with diverse stakeholders including board members, executives, and staff.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a dynamic environment.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism, with a demonstrated ability to handle confidential information and uphold governance and compliance standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and HR systems, with the ability to produce accurate documentation and reports.
Desirable -
- Experience supporting corporate governance processes, including preparing Board and AGM documentation, maintaining statutory records, and ensuring compliance with the CATSI Act and ORIC requirements would be highly regarded.
- Experience with Employment Hero system
- Experience in the community housing industry
- Experience in not-for-profit or Aboriginal community-controlled organisations
